Pakistan next for Swedish green technology

Chamber Trade Sweden and the Swedish Embassy in Pakistan in collaboration with Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) held a seminar on Swedish Greentech Solutions for Pakistan in Lahore on February 25.

The initiative was taken to help the Pakistani government overcome energy and environmental challenges through innovative techniques available.

“Pakistan is going through severe energy crises. Our natural gas resources are depleting very rapidly. We need to do something about it and fast. I believe that your innovative products will help alleviating such crises.”said Bashir Ali Mohammed, Chairman of Gul Ahmed, Textile Mills Limited and added that the company is willing to set up a renewable energy project as a joint venture built on Swedish know how and experience to show Pakistani entrepreneurs how they can benefit from using innovative technology.
