Flying start for partnership with South African partner
With the Swedish South African Partner Driven Chamber Program as a base, Chamber Trade Sweden entered into a strategic cooperation with the Cape Chamber of Commerce. With the Swedish South African Partner Driven Chamber Program as a base, Chamber Trade Sweden entered into a strategic cooperation with the Cape Chamber of Commerce and the non-profit organization Mhani Gingi, that will run until December 2013.
The Program contributes to enhancing bilateral trade and private sector development through long-term, sustainable collaboration between the chambers, its members and other business networks. The Program specifically focuses on encouraging women’s economic empowerment through the special partnership with the social entrepreneur Mhani Gingi. As in most developing countries, the situation of many women in South Africa is severe and difficult. Mhani Ghingi focuses a major part of its services on women in the poor townships of the Cape region. Read more about Partnership South Africa
Looking ahead at 2013 Chamber Trade Sweden and Cape Chamber of Commerce will be launching a trade promotion activity in November 2013 attracting businesses from the Nordic countries and Southern Africa in priority sectors like Green Technology, ICT and Agribusiness.
